Fine Arts Camp

We are looking towards the end of our much anticipated Fine Arts camp. It has been a great success! We have taught the girls about Indian culture through different art techniques and by studing traditional Indian Theater. They have also been learning about an orphanage in India. On Tuesday the girls got Henna tattoos from a local Henna Tattoo artist. On Wednesday we took a field trip to the Eternal Threads Warehouse. (for more information on Eternal Threads look at www.eternalthreads.com). Today the girls are anxiously preparing for their performance tomorrow night! I can't wait to see what they have been working on all week.
The girls earned an ice cream party tomorrow afternoon for learning eachother's names. Way to go girls!

Blue Team

6th Grade Camp!

We had a great time with the A-Teens who attended our Welcome to Middle School Camp. The girls came into camp as nervous 5th graders and left as confident 6th graders. The transformation was amazing to watch. Friendships were made between A-Teens and other A-Teens and mentoring relationships were established between counselors and A-Teens. The campers were sad to leave and the staff was sad to see them leave. We have many of our 6th graders coming back to other camps. We can't wait to see them throughout the summer and at the end of summer banquet!
